I am a Stinson and trying to find out about slave renting by my family in the Butler County, Pineapple, Old Texas area. There was a marriage of Sara Stinson into the Burkett family.

I believe I am a decendent of the Burkett line from Butler Alabama. If you find out please keep me in the loop. I'm Burkett-418. My given name is Elizabeth Burkett. I believe I am a decendent of Caleb Burkett. My Great grandpa was Oris Redford Burkett and my Great Grandma was Sarah Elizabeth Hunt. Grandpa worked for the railroad and he and my great grandma moved from Butler County Alabama and settled in Homestead Florida.
