While researching Corban history, Hester family tree popped up

My Great Grandmother was Lula Mae Hester born in Alabama. Her family came from VA,NC, Ga, SC. The Hesters connect to the Corbin by the Lightfoot lines through Robert Cook. Hope this helps

My great grandmother is Lula Mae Hester from Cherokee AL. Do you think we are talking about the same lady? I can't find out any information on her except she was married to my great grandfather Henry Clay Thomas and they are buried in Union Hill Needmore Cemetery in Cherokee  (Blanche) AL. She was born in 1893-1952 and her mother's name is Sara C. Hester born in 1809. This is all the information I can find.

My Lula is Lula Mae Hester Married to Perry Miller then my Great Grandpa Charles B Mills. They are buried in Greenwood Cemetery Orlando FL. I believe your Lula was a cousin to my Great Gram.
My Lula father was William Howard Hester and mothervWas Sarah Catherine Edwards they they are buried in Stewart Cemetery Ft Payne AL.

I don't know, but I can give you a tip hopefully could help you find the tie.

Hester is a family associated with many families in Covington County, most of whom can be traced to ancestors in Maryland.

My tip, which may be worthless, is that the family you should be looking for may be spelled CORBIN. Though Corbin has roots both in Virginia and Maryland in this country, it is specifically intermarried with ancestors of Covington County, Alabama. Many of these families moved on to Mississippi.

My mother is a Hester by her second marriage.  My step father is Sidney Ellis Hester.  He is from Bay Springs, MS.  I don't know if this is the Hester line you are looking at.  I don't know much about his family, but my mom does.
