I have a William Sheehan marrying the daughter of another BEI man, Thomas Conway c 1856. Margaret Conway is the daughter of Thomas and his (probably Indian) wife, Elizabeth/Margaret whom he married in 1827. We have no information on Sheehan at all. His daughter Agnes ws born c 1856 in East Bengal, but there is no record of the baptism in the BEI records. His widow, Margaret married Patrick Fitzgerald in Bareilly Uttar Pradesh 15 Sep 1859, so he must have been dead by then. The Fizgeralds, and Agnes, who took her stepfather's name for the voyage went to New Zealand in 1873. Would love any info on William Sheehan/Shihan.
