Is his LNAB Bactre or Baxter?

The first mention of Andrew is in a US Census 1910 where his last name is Bactre. The image supports this.  The 1920 and 1930 census has his name as Andrew Baxter.  In all three cases he was born in Sweden about 1866/1867. Find-a-Grave has him buried in California and his grave stone shows a birth date of June 14, 1866 and it states that he was born in Sweden.  I would really like to know his LNAB. Bactre just seems wrong and Baxter is not much better. So 'What was Andrew's LNAB'?

I imagine you will have to find when and where he entered the US and then back to the Swedish Birth/Baptism records to find his LNAB.

I don't know anything about them but someone here surely will. Meanwhile:

There are some tutorials about Swedish records on that page.
There is not much to go on bu I'll see what I can find. His first name was probably not Andrew either. More likely Anders.

Update: I took a look at the record from 1910 and saw that he immigrated in 1890. There is still too little to go on since both his first and last names have probably been changed when he emigrated. I have used Emigranten Populär 2006 and the 1880 census programs to see if I could find anything but Anders was a very common name back then so it is like looking for a needle in a haystack without more informaiton.
Thank you for checking.  The 1930 census says he immigrated in 1889, if that helps
Ellis Island shows that in 1935 our Andrew Baxter returned from a visit to Sweden. That record shows he held a Cert. of Nat. issued in Phillips, Wis on June 20, 1906. It also shows his 1935 address as El Cerrito, Cal.
That's a good catch.
Sorry, I find him in the database Emigranten for 1935 but without his Swedish name and/or place of birth in Sweden it is really hard to find out more.

Searching at SVAR for Anders B?ckström 1866-1868 gives an Anders Johan Backström in the census for 1890, which would just barely fit with his emigration. He is single, born in Säter, Kopparberg in 1866, living in Borlänge (Stora Tuna) working as  a "lokeldare" which might fit with Andrew being a labourer at a Pullman shop.

Unfortunately his date of birth seems to be January 31, not June 14. In the census for 1880 your Andrew would have been too young to go by his own surname, just listed with his parents, so there might be another Backström or Bäckström who slipped away just before the census 1890. He may also have acquired the name Baxtre for some entirely different reason, of course.
