Is MatchBot up to scratch? [closed]

Question

WikiTree’s matchBot needs an algorythm written by a genealogist not an IT genius.

If a human had proposed this merge I would have suspected mischievous or malicious intent, I've had puzzling proposed matches before by this soft-ware.

Well gee they were both born in 1879 in England.

There's a new group of "Match-bot minders" on Wikitree, which should help. It won't prevent the bad ones, but it should catch them.

As it happens, but if they'd spent their entire lives in different hemispheres that wouldn't be an obstacle.

Point is though, to find the same matches that will show up in other contexts.  If they're bad matches, they get marked as Rejected, and then they don't show up in other contexts.
