Help finding William Freeborn's origins/parents? (England c1780/90s)

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows the origins of William Freeborn? I have had a look but have not found anything so am now reaching out to see if anyone else can.

What I know: he married in Leeds, W.R.Yorkshire in 1811, which places his birth before 1799, but its like he just turned up and I can't find any other Freeborns in Leeds of his generation or older.

He died in 1839 so I can't check the census, and his wife in 1828 so can't check for her either, both in Leeds.

He did have four children, maybe a fifth with a possible second marriage but not sure on that.

Thanks

Thanks, so you reckon the Suffolk William is right one?
It's a possibility. It would be about 188 miles from one Christening site to the other. Don't know about method if transportation in those days, maybe horse or train?
I had another look there is three other possible Williams one in Dorset (who I think stayed in Dorset based on marriage records), and one in Scotland, and one in Wiltshire, but thats from forum sites, but that William seems to have a brother called Job, one of 'my' William's children shares the name.

So Suffolk, Scotland, and Wiltshire.

I would have thought horse, or maybe even Canal to travel.

You think it would be easier with a name that seems pretty rare. :)
The first public railway route (Stockton to Darlington) didn't open until 1825, so he didn't travel by train. My first thought was that migration from Suffolk to Leeds seems unlikely, but there's a possible connection through the wool trade.
All the possible options seem to far away for that time, and for someone who was probably not wealthy.

Would his death record or marriage record have any details that could be useful, or even children's marriage record?
Found a Pedigree Resource File which had Job Freeborn born 1787, his brothers were Joseph 1781-1856, and William born 1785. Job was born in Wiltshire.

Pedigree Resource Files are not checked for accuracy, so you may want to verify whether this one is correct.

The sibling named job is persuading me, it feels like it is more than coincidence.

Thank you for finding that, I'll see what records they are using

She's the fifth possible child, but couldn't find a marriage record for William and Mary so I held off from adding her, but very likely she is.

The burial of William Freeborn was conducted 12 March 1839, St. Peter, Leeds, a widower, of Well Street age 51 (West Yorkshire, England, Church of England Deaths and Burials, 1813-1985).

Thank you for that, so that would put his birth c1788 depending on how accurate his age is
His death certificate states his age as 54. That would make his birth year approx 1785.
