Is Gay Dokken (husband of Eleanor Dokken) Milo Gerhard Dokken?

Hi, I have two Christmas cards, one from 1961, one earlier, signed "The Gay Dokkens." No envelopes, hence no return address. One has a note on the back, signed "Eleanor." I'm trying to identify the couple. Perhaps "Gay Dokken" is a nickname (Gay was once a man's nickname) for Milo Gerhard Dokken. The US Census for 1940 (Queens, NY) shows a Milo Gerhard and Eleanor Dokken.

I'm sorry, I don't see a way to insert an image in this post -- just a link -- and I don't have a URL to provide.

Thanks, Bob

P.S. Here's a headstone that might be this couple:

I found a profile for an Eleanor Dokken on Facebook.  It's mostly private, but did show high school graduation in 1951, which fits nicely with your card date.

Is it possible you are seeking someone who is currently living?
