Find Project team

Question

One of the profiles for which I am the manager is "Project Protected" but I don't seem able to find out which project it is nor who is on the project team.  How am I supposed to join the team when I can't find out which team to join?

It looks like it is part of http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Puritan_Great_Migration

Doug is correct. This profile was probably protected as part of the Puritan Great Migration project, but it probably shouldn't have been.  William apparently did not come to Massachusetts until about 1644, which is outside the period (1620-1640) for the PGM Project.

I propose to remove the PPP unless someone can justify it remaining protected.  There has only been one merge so far, so it isn't a massively duplicated profile.

Vic, when PGM first got going, we protected thru 1650.  It was later that we Pulled back to the 1640 cutoff.

Thanks, I didn't know that.  But now, with the current guidelines, shouldn't we un-PPP this profile?

It wouldn't be a priority for me. I think that my initial thought was to ultimately extend it to 1650 but if it upsets someone that it's there by all means remove it.

The problem is that it is Lakin-1 who is listed as PGM when he was born in the US in 1655.  He needs to be removed from PGM.  Somehow Lakin-1 and Lakin-22 got confused as much of the data for Lakin-1 (biography and marriage) are clearly incorrect.

Robert, You are absolutely right. It is clear that there were some bad merges here.  Born in 1655 and died in 1785?

I've removed the PPP, removed the stuff that referred to Lakin-22, done some merges and proposed more.  I'm sure there is more work to do, but that is a start.
