Can I add a obituary of a woman of 87 years that passed away in April 1916? Some siblings and her children are still alive.

The obituary ia available on the internet at a site of a funeral home.

What should be the privacy level?

You might want to set a tighter privacy level than "open," depending on whether her survivors also have profiles here.  When living relatives are involved, Open may well not be the best choice.

When I posted my mother-in-law's obituary, I left out the names of living children -- "She is survived by [private]."  Her privacy level is Private with Public Biography.

The level will be automatic, due to the death, all living will be protected the deceased should be open.
