How do I provide the mtdna my brother and I did through Ancestry.com

Hi D., You have entered the information about you test correctly on your profile.  Now, create your brother's profile and add his DNA test information the same way.  Then, add your parents, grandparents, etc. and work your way back through your family.  

WikiTree does not accept the actual raw test data for DNA tests.

Donna, you should be able to go to your DNA page at http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&u=10672283&id=7 and enter your mitochondrial haplogroup  and possibly some other test details.

Hello Donna,

Did you and your brother each have an mtDNA test or did you each have an autosomal DNA test (abbrievated atDNA and also auDNA)?

If you each had auDNA tests then you should register at https://www.gedmatch.com/login1.php and follow GEDmatch instructions to upload your AncestryDNA results there, then enter your GEDmatch ID on your DNA Tests page in WikiTree (and then upload your brother's results to GEDmatch and add his GEDmatch ID to his DNA Tests page).

However, if you each had mtDNA tests then I recommend adding just one of your results to MitoSearch and adding the MitoSearch ID to the tester's DNA Tests page in WikiTree.

Thank you for calling my attention to the fact that I HAD written the wrong type test.  Ancestry does the auDNA.  I will follow the link and add our information when I have a few extra minutes.  Thank you!
