I'm wondering why mine only shows 24 profiles.  I am the PM for way more than that.

Generation 0: 1 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 1: 2 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 2: 2 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 3: 2 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 4: 4 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 5: 4 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 6: 4 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 7: 2 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 8: 3 profiles, 0 errors.
Total: 24 profiles 0 errors.

Summer, are all the profiles on your watchlist actually related/connected to you? I have to put in at least 3 ID's to get my relations, and that in no way covers my watchlist. I ask for the error report and get 1 (me)
A lot of them are!  I'm not sure how many...but I think I am PM on all up to my 4th-5th ggp...and then lots of aunts uncles cousins etc.
But Anne I clicked the link Magnus put up below and that worked.  I got 60 something then...which i had NOT been getting before.  So, maybe that's a different error report than what's available on the menu?
I just read further down the post that it doesn't go through private profiles.  See Robin's answer.
maybe you should try more generations Summer ?
Yes - go up your chain to the first non-private profile and run the report from there. I have the same problem. My first public profile (fully open) is my grandfather, so I start from there. I hate to find out what it would look like if I ran it from the other grandparents, but I should... ugh
I'm good to go. I check my error report every Monday, like clock work.
Summer, if you change your relatives privacy to public tree, then relatives will be linked automatically. After monday.

Generation 0: 1 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 1: 3 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 2: 7 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 3: 18 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 4: 56 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 5: 96 profiles, 0 errors.
Generation 6: 176 profiles, 2 errors. (One is fixed, one is probably correct but waiting on an answer from a cousin; set to temp hide)

After that, it's getting in to territory where I've not, and am not ready to, done research.

I don't blame you!  That far back can be quite difficult...

Gave it a shot - marked some false errors, fixed a few, sent off some requests to PM's to check their privacy levels. Now I either need to dig in a bit deeper to address some of the items or surrender for a bit. I've got up through generation 6 addressed and a few downstream into generations 7 and 8, but beyond that... hmm.

I'll take a look at these, but I might not make much headway beyond generation 7...

I hear that!!!  It's hard once you get that far back...

Nice :)
Except now I find I need to go back to each of my grandparents and ask for an error list on them. That will take a while :(

Many of you, may have private settings on your parents/grandparents..   Therefore, your watchlist error list will not go back generations, it will not go back through private profiles.   In that case you need do the error list on the first public or open profile in each of your ancestry branches.

HI  I ran the error report and it shows 10 errors. It does not show generations like some of the others are stating.  This is the link i used URL https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/trtnik2/ex/

Is this the correct link? I fixed the errors that were about a mother and father being too young  and one about a profile not being open.  The rest are 631 Unknown death location.  Not sure what I can do to fix these other than to give a guess as to where they died

Any suggestions  or help will be appreciated

if you use it on someone who's profile is open, it will go back through the generations for you.

DBE_631 Unknown death location.

Dont you have unknown in the death location field

TODO

  1. Delete the value Unknown
  2. Mark it uncertain

Here you have a generation report created from you

http://www.sdms.si:92/function/WTWeb/errors.htm?UserID=11718356

Using menu option

Thank you so much.  I will start working on the unknown death location ..

Now that I know to do the error report from an open profile I will keep working on the errors.

Again Thank you

My error report for 154 profiles!! I am a PM for over 650 more profiles but not direct relations. However no errors to find on them as I can see by going to the various hometowns and states that they lived in.

"Here are errors in profiles related to you":

Generation 0: 1 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 1: 2 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 2: 4 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 3: 15 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 4: 37 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 5: 51 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 6: 25 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 7: 17 profiles, 0 errors.

Generation 8: 2 profiles, 0 errors.

Total: 154 profiles 0 errors.

Nice

Use the Watchlist check then you get all profiles you are PM for
https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/trtnik2/ex/

Thanks Magnus, that link was a big help. Only had 7 errors out of 650 or so profiles not in direct line of my family!!!!

Don't thank me thank Project:Database_Errors and the rocket scientist Aleš Trtnik
