I have ancestors Alexander Christy/Christie of Aberdeen , Scotland who we believe married Margaret Alexander and they moved to Ireland and became Quakers. They were associated with other families Miller, Morton, Murphy, Blackburn, Hamilton, Erskine, Montgomery. I have lots of DNA matches with people who have surnames in their tree such as McKnitt/ McKnight, Sample, Alexander and the names Hezekiah Alexander and Mary Sample seem to pop up in various trees of DNA matches.I think some of the Christie family may have gone to America or Canada. My GEDmatch kit is A014600 if anyone wishes to compare kits. I'm also on FTDNA.
