There's a project for Kerry genealogists. Please join us and maybe we can talk over a glass of Guinness and some Irish tunes  ( wink )

Hi,

A significant part of my family moved to Kerry working for the growing Railway network (Great Southern & Western Railway). Originally from Tipp, all the children were born in Kerry.

I was told that if I found the Crowe name connected with the railway it would be 'one of ours' !

If I can help, please let me know?

Thanks, Seamus! Speaking of railroads occupation, I found the birthplace of one of my Kerry ancestors mentioned in a railroads journal at Google Books!
Hi,

thanks for the reply, it is strange where info comes from. I have just asked a guy for a copy of a picture from a web site as it might be my relative and he gave me another with definitely a relative.

You wouldn't know which book you were reading as the Crowe family seemed to have a min dynasty of staff members working in Kerry and other places for the railway. (Same family has a police and IRA weave through the same families)

best wishes,

Seamus
