Who was Elizabeth Franklin-5199?

Question

This profile for Elizabeth Franklin says she was born in 1570 in England and died in 1642 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. It also says she was married to Robert Andrews-126 in 1591. If there really was an Elizabeth Franklin (1570-1642) she couldn't be the wife of Robert Andrews-126. He was born about 1593, and the surname of his wife Elizabeth is unknown. There has been confusion about his wife's name being Franklin. See the profile for Unknown-42284 for a detailed explanation of how the confusion arose. Here is my question. Was there really a woman named Elizabeth Franklin with those birth and death dates, and we should just detach Robert Andrews-126 as her husband? Or is this woman a myth and we should just merge this profile into Unknown-42284?

Thanks, Elaine! Is there any information to indicate that this Elizabeth Franklin died in Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1642? Or that her mother's name was Dorothy Coke? Do you recommend that we merge her into Elizabeth Unknown-42284, the wife of Robert Andrews, or detach her from Robert?

Elizabeth Franklin-478, alleged daughter of William Franklin-5190 and Dorothy Coke-71, one time attached as wife of Robert Andrews-126, mother of John Andrews-718.

John Andrews-718, married to Sarah Connant-1 and father of John Andrews-2101 and Sarah Andrews-719.

Starting with John Andrews-2101 and Sarah Andrews-719. Who were they and who were their parents? John and Sarah were children of John Andrews who died in 1662 and Sarah his wife who died in 1666 [History of the Andrews Family p. 54] This book originally confused him with another John Andrews (There are way too many living in New England), but the author later realized they were two separate men [Connecticut Magazine p. 353] Anderson [GMB] has since identified the mother of these children as Sarah Holyoke.

John Andrews-127 and Sarah Holyoke-32 have Wikitree profiles but are currently childless.

Plan of Attack: Some dates may need to be adjusted, since a generation had been skipped.

• Disconnect Elizabeth Franklin-478 from John Andrews-718. Leave her with William and Dorothy even though she may not exist, so that further duplicates don't get created.
• Merge John Andrews-718 with John Andrews-127
• Merge  Sarah Connant-1  into  Sarah Holyoke-32 
• This will set children John Andrews-2101 and Sarah Andrews-719. with the proper parents

Hi Shelley, Thanks for commenting. I've been working on the Andrews line for a while, a little at a time (usually until my head starts to spin), but it's only in the interest of getting it correct. They aren't actually my line. I will wait a few more days before making the assorted disconnections and merges, to give other managers a chance to speak up.
