I am tracking the nave/neff/naf family from switzerland to germany and then to philadelphia and most recently bedford county pennsylvania.

The name appears to have been spelled naf near zurich switzerland between 1500 and 1680.

Apparently my ancestors moved to a part of germany owned by switzerland around 1680 and then moved to philadelphia pa around 1717.\

The ancestor who moved to phladephia was called jacob neff.

It appears that there were about four direct descendants also called jacob  neff.

Around 177 the name was changed from neff to nave and continues to this day. Both neff and nave are found in many states of the usa.

From there the family moved west and south including berks county pa, washington county maryland, roaring springs bedford county pa and finally bedford valley pennsylvania which is north of cumberland maryland.

One profile claims to know the surname of the wife. The other profile has parents.  You can send messages to them.  Also, feel free to join Wikitree and collaborate to create a single profile for them.  It is reasonable to believe some of your other ancestors have duplicate profiles here.
