My 2nd great grandmother was Hearlemia (maybe Hesherlin) Adams c.1841-1932. She claimed to be a direct decendant of President John Q Adams. We have newspaper articles claiming this. I can't find a link between him and her.
She also went by the first name of Susan because she did not like her real name.

She was born in Ware, Mass., USA and died in Meriden ,C.T
