Elijah Carter's (1821-1908) military service.

I have seen that Elijah Carter (1821-1908, married to Nicey Prescott) served as a 2nd corporal under Capt. Samuel E. Swilley in the 2nd Regiment of the Florida Militia, from June 16, to Dec 16, 1837 in the Seminole Indian War. He would have been just turned 16.

Anyone know where this comes from? I have a lot of info on Elijah but can't confirm. Could this have been another Elijah Carter?

Willing to share info.  Thank you

Thank you, but doesn't look like the right Elijah Carter.

If you have enough info to narrow it down to the right Elijah Carter, FamilySearch.org is a free LDS sight and they have a lot of links and/or photos included with their info. It is how I tracked down my Grandfaters Mlitary info.
