Manross-81 and Ball-8 are the same person, how to merge?

in my quest to connect the ancestors of Lucile Ball, I was able to find some documentation, but an interesting problem has arisen, How should I merge two wives, who are verified as the same wife when one of them has been incorrectly recorded by her married name  (Ball) rather than her maiden name  (Manross ) I've already had one Wikitree genealogist cancel my proposed merge, so that Ball profile will be recorded as the LNAB, and I'd sure like to avoid this mistake in the future as Manross should be listed as the LNAB (IMHO ) . Succinct question: how to merge two different profiles, so the correct LNAB becomes the label. Thanks!

Dear Dorothy;

  I located Sarah (Sally) Manross  who married Isaac Ball, and found her parents and listed 4 other sources for you, and the other Profile Manager to review, 3 different US Federal Census, and 2 Books.  I listed the sources and created a profile for her father and mother Jesse Manross (son of Samuel Manross)and Nancy E. Preston Manross (her parents were already on Wikitree. I am related to the Ball family- but not Isaac. I requested the merge as well, so the profile manager should approve with these additional sources. Have fun- Wikitree is great!

Dorothy, that merge request is currently shown as an Unmerged Match.  To take it further, I would try to find a real source (other than undocumented info on FindAGrave) for Sally's maiden name.  Then you have a documented reason why the LNAB that you propose is correct and the other profile manager will be more likely to approve the merge.

I just acquired the profile yesterday, Vic, but I'll pursue this avenue.Thanks!  It's not the other PM standing in the way actually but rather helpful folk who want to reverse the order so that Ball (a married name) becomes the identifier.
