Houseofproctor.org (and the amazing data wizard joe) had nothing on James himself other than his connection to Mary Ann. Same with ancestry. And this wiki. He was born in Virginia too, but I can't match any dates. It would be wonderful if we could connect him back to the Proctor homeland, in Cambridgeshire.
