Roosevelt duplicates

I've come across a number of profiles with the surname Roosvelt, that look like they are the same as the American Roosevelt family.  Almost all the profiles are orphans and currently open but the problem with merging them is that many of the respective Roosevelt profiles have various privacy levels because either they are still living or born within the last 200 years.

The other difficulty is that the manager for many of the Roosevelt profiles has not been active since April 2015 and I think that even if I suggest the merges there will be problems because no one can complete them? (My impression is that if a profile has a privacy level they can't automatically be completed after 30 days?)

Anyone have any ideas about what to do with these profiles?

The rest of the Roosvelt profiles can be found here

Elliot Roosvelt , Roosvelt-6 has no profile manager. You can become the manager & do the Mergers all by yourself.

 http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Merging & http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Matching_and_Merging_FAQ .

Simarily many of the Roosvelt's on your posted list have no Manager. :) JPVIV

Thanks John, but I think the problem will be the other end of the merge, because most of the profiles have various privacy levels and the profile manager appears to be no longer active on Wikitree.

Scrolling through the list of children, this profile surname is mispelled, should be Roosevelt - Elliott is son of President FDR and first lady Eleanor. Perhaps you can attached Elliott to his correct parents and then update dob, dod based on info in wikipedia, then put in merge requests. Slowly and deliberately the profiles will likely get merged.

Please, everyone, I will mark the profiles....if you notice the name is spelled incorrectly, that is the reason the duplicates had not been found in the past, we need to be VERY careful proposing and doing the merges that we do not end up with incorrectly spelled names.

Robin, couldn't the Presidents Project protect the correctly spelled profiles to ensure that the merges go in the right direction?
The US Presidents project does not have access to the profiles in question, either, and the project does not have the ability to protect the profiles,   I, as a leader have to go through, find all the affected profiles, ask to have the profile protected and ask to have the project added
Ah, I see the problem! When I commented earlier, I was reading G2G on my phone (meaning no browser tabs), and I didn't see how many of those Roosevelt profiles are locked down as private.

Let's hope the profile manager can be induced to stop by WikiTree and give access to the Presidents project.

Hi guys,

I'm working through proposed merges that involve private profiles. (I'm about up to 2015.)  If you propose merges for these Roosevelt/Roosvelt profiles I'll get them merged soon.

Slowly working through duplicates and proposing merges for you....some, I have to guess....
I think all the merges are proposed....some of the profiles are not private, just public with an inactive manager.
Okey doke. I'll work through them.
