Hi Bill if you have a Person twice on your tree merge them just go right down the bottom of their profile page and you will see Pending Merges click on to this  and you should be able to merge both Profiles,or if you want to remove some one who is in the wrong place click on to edit  than in the right hand side of the page you will see the names with edit next to them in brackets click on to this and it will open on a new page right down the bottom of the page you will see remove as ....and you should be able to do it from there hope this helps Terry

If a profile is in the 'wrong' place in a tree just edit the profile and change the mom and dad to put it in the 'right' place.
I accidentally added a record. A very complete record for that person was already in the system from my uploaded gedcom. The proposed merge contained less information. do I need to update the merged record with the data and source documentation lost in the merge or is there a better way?
No information will be lost.  In the upper portion of the profile (birth dates, places, etc.) if there's only one piece of information it is used.  If both profiles have that data then you get to pick which data is used ... it's color coded, green and orange I think.  In the Biography section, both sets of data are placed into that area, one of them first and the other second.  So. after the merge, you need to edit the Biography/Sources section and make it look spiffy again.
