Born 1800 in either MD or VA. Some articles say MD, but censuses say VA. Married Jane Mc Cain (from SC) in Tuscaloosa. AL in 1828. Lived in Montgomery after that. Was well-known contractor for many buildings in Montgomery, including second and current state capitol. Served in last few months of Civil War. Died Christmas Day that year, 1865.
I believe he is related to the MD Postons but can't figure out exactly how.
Contacted direct descendants in Montgomery by phone. They had tried but could not figure out ancestry, either.
