Common Law marriages

My Great Great Granfather was a Doctor and he married a woman and she gave birth to a daughter, he then later left them to set up a new practice and he met and had an affair and the woman gave birth to my Great Grandfather, how do I show this because the form only allows one spouse? I have many ancestors that had more than one spouse.

Adding additional spouses

Here's how to add a person's second marriage, third marriage, etc.

First, go to the person's edit page (click an edit link from their profile page) and look in the right-hand column under "Edit Family." Scroll down to "Spouses" and click "[add/remove a spouse]".

Following this link enables you to create the spouse and establish the relationship.

*Note: If they are common law you can still add them just make a note in the Biography their relationship and the fact that the couple had a child.
