do i use a free space form to create a category for a town?, property, a ship, a river ?

Yes you would use a free space page.

Hi Bronwyn,

You don't need to create a free-space profile to create a category. A category might be enough if you don't have unique content to add about that town, property, ship, etc. If you just want to group person profiles that lived in the town, or on the property, or served on the ship, etc., you can just create the category. Also, to create a category (such as a cemetery) there are established formats, so do a little research.

When I started creating cemetery categories to set some up in a particular area (say, Allen County, Indiana), I didn't necessarily have a profile to place in it to set it up, so I used my OWN profile, set up the category, then removed it from my profile. I use my own profile quite often.
