How can I download a Record for Micro Fiche information?

+6 votes
I downloaded a hand-written documentation for the marriage of my Great Grandparents today and it is now in their pages. I also spent most of the afternoon looking in the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, and finally found what I was looking for in the County Council Mariage Records, 1826-1927. This document shows the County, Film Number, Page number, certificate number, date of marriage, groom's and wife's names. I copied same to my computer; but it only copied to my Word program. I then scanned a printout of same, saved it as a JPG and still cannot download it into their pages on WikiTree. But, in desperation, I typed all the particulars as noted above that are on the information page into the information section on WikiTree. Hope this will do as a 'source'. Is there another way to copy this information as it appears in the Canadian Archives, or will the typewritten message suffice? I would assume I could request a copy of the film?

Thanks for your thoughts ...

Have you looked at FamilySearch to see how they write citations for their films? That may give you a few ideas.

Hello, Jeannette!

If you are referencing this image, , then I'd say you've already written a competent citation for your source - it's in your comments box. In fact, you could make 2 citations from your comment: one for and another for the Provincial Archives.

You'll need to flesh out the citation if you use it. But the Provincial Archives citation looks good as is, or perhaps with the addition of the date you accessed the source document and a link to your uploaded image.
