I am looking for information on John T McConniel born about 1843 in Georgia I believe his parents who I can't identify may have come from South Carolina. He was a deserter at the end of the Civil War having enlisted July 3 1861 in Catoosa County GA. After the war he married Martha Jane Lester (Luster) in about 1864 and settled in Cumberland Gap TN. He died in 1880 or 1881 John is my brick wall, I can't seem to connect him with anyone in Georgia any assistance would be appreciated.
