Trying to get back further in my New Jersey Pennsylvania Lee's Please help..

Born April 6, 1866 in Califon, Hunerdon County New Jersey

Son of Joseph Lee [uncertain] and Annie Waugesburg

Brother of Catherine Lee, Abraham H Lee, Adeline Lee, Margaret A. (Lee) Beam, George Lee and Peter Lee [add sibling]

Husband of Isabel (Bieler) Lee — married July 5, 1889 (to September 10, 1946) in Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pa.

Father of Mabel Lee, Leroy Lee, Claude Joseph Lee, William Earl Lee, Inez Lee and Edna Lee [add child]

Died September 10, 1946 in Idetown Cemetery, Dallas, Pa.

 

Now, this information has proved to be correct. Lee-15867  His father was named Joseph Lee about 1824 and his mother was Anna Waugesburg per his death certificate believed to also be from New Jersey.  I have found a Joseph Lee with an Eliza for his wife in New Jersey that has a son John but I do not think this is correct.  Can anyone help me shed some light?  I am thinking possibly Joseph had 2 wives.

Thanks Betty.  I do believe this to be the correct Joseph but am wondering if he had another wife as the wifes name on census and on death certificate are not the same.  Can't find anything on the Anna from the death certificate. Thought maybe Eliza was Anna going by her middle name or something but can't find anything that way either.  I would love to find who Josephs father was.  He would probably also be tewksbury NJ possible birth at about 1805.  From there I think the Lees must have immigrated, but not sure from where...

Thank you Betty!  That I am thinking is his son.  I was thinking maybe Josephs fathers name was Abraham being he named his first son with the name but I have been unable to find anything to prove this
