And make sure you're actually willing to clean up the profiles you will create via GEDCOM. When I first started here I decided I'd try entering a GEDCOM for what I considered a smallish tree. It was about the size you tried to enter and didn't get imported, but by that time I remembered why I didn't like GEDCOMs, in particular because you end up having to examine each profile to make sure everything is ok, which makes it take just as long or longer than just entering it by hand anyway. And it's even worse if'[s someone elses GEDCOM as the style undoubtedly won't match your style anyway. Just saying.
