We are wondering what others may know about Britton/Brittain of Wake County, NC, our most distant known ancestor for my father's surname line. He was father of Eaton, who was father of Isham, who was father of Joseph Walter "Walter" (my dad's dad) of Holly Springs, Wake, NC.

Thank you. We are pretty well up on this family, but we do want to know  more about Brittain/Britton Collins and his family (not so much his children . . .  the others . . . . ) . . .  we tend to be skeptical of much of what we see about them on the Net . . .   but then maybe we should not disbelieve . . . .

I'm afraid that comes from our family and should go in the category of 'family lore.' (i can blame myself, in other words!)(i wish we had something with some substantiation . . .  am hoping someone with some family lore that's better than mine will show up, maybe someone who has a Bible, some letters, something . . . . )

thanks, though, and happy huntin'

I have run out of info, but there are others at WikiTree who can often sleuth out answers with their resources. That may happen. I hope so.
