Where did my Great Grandparents Go ?

My Great Grandparents Daniel & Christiana Hill were living in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall at the 1871 census.  Aged 29 & 25. No trace of them subsequent to that.

Well the 1869 death is Richard's sister, age 1.  But the 1907 one is age 83.

John is presumably Daniel's brother.  But nothing says the grandson Richard is John's son.

First question that occurred to me was, if the parents disappeared, what happened to the kid?  Did he disappear as well, or was he raised by somebody else?  It's significant that he married a local girl.

I guess grandma is the answer to that question.

Maybe Richard's parents just split up.
