How do you move a photo from the wrong profile to the right one?

I upload a photo of my ancestor John Alexander's will yesterday and accidently put it on the Alexander-4865 instead of Alexander-4864.  I removed it from profile 4865, but never could put on profile 4864 where it belongs.

Should I upload it again on the right profile?  And when a profile is in limbo how does one recover it and put it on the proper profile?

Go to your "My Wikitree" and click on Images  then find the image (there's 10 to a page (at least on my computer) and click on it's title.  Then go to the box where it lets you enter a profile ID and enter Alexander-4864 and save and it should be on the profile you want.  Note that it will be on the bottom of any group of photos on the profile you add it to.  If you wanted it to be at the top I think you could take all the images off that profile and then add them back in the order you want.  (but if I'm wrong on that assumption, someone let me know.)

I can't find the image on my wikitree and it won't let me reload the image onto the right profile anymore.

Hi, how to remove photo from profile?
by Stanislav Ginzburg G2G Rookie (260 points)

To remove the photo from the profile, click on the photo. This will open the Photo Edit page. On the left side of the page, where it says "People, Places & Things in the Photo," select "REMOVE" next to the appropriate name(s), then click "Save Changes to Photo Info" at the bottom of the page. When you save the changes, the photo will not appear on any profiles.

I think you should have done it in reverse, in other words, add Alexander-4864 to the picture then remove Alexander 4865.

But now you may not be able to recover the photo, unless you go to your contributions list, find where you added the photo and click on it, see if it will come back up. Then add the correct Alexander profile to it. See if that works. (It just depends on how many days ago you removed it and if it is still in the system).
