newbie trying to match a record with an existing one but when I search names to match I don't find my record

Question

Anna Longley, mother of Gilbert Bent. I am an ancestor, but the record I found that matches does not contain my ancestor line from that person, but this record has an identical path of their ancestors to mine.When I search Anna Longley, I see the record that I want to merge with, but I do not see my entry. Confused

At the bottom of Anna Longley's page, there is a rejected match.  Is this the profile you are looking for?

When you were adding Anna, did you reject the match and add a separate profile?  Remove the rejected match and start the merge process over.
