I put some tags (the things in the green boxes) on your question, so that hopefully some of the people who deal with that era will answer.

Hi Zoe,

There is a group of researchers that work with the Magna Carta lines, only adding the Magna Carta template once the research has been completed and checked over for accuracy.  For other pre-1500 profiles that fall within the European Aristocrats Project, there isn't a 'team' working on them.  There is a small group of us that oversees and is involved with the project.  Since it's the oldest and largest project on Wikitree, it's a huge task and we are always looking for good researchers to assist us with improving and verifying the profiles.  You can read about the project here:  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:European_Aristocrats

Due to the size of the project, I broke it down into five smaller projects two years ago:  Prior to 742, British Isles 742-1499, Europeans (other than British Isles 742-1499), British Isles 1500-Present, Europeans 1500-Present.  Feel free to contact any of the project leaders if you're interested in joining any of the projects.

Thank you Darlene, your answer was much appreciated, a lot work and responsibility goes with all the different projects.  There is a lot of information out there that is a bit hazy or not documented properly, so good to see Wikitree volunteers are passionate about getting it right.  I am happy to add comments in the box on some of the pre 1500 profiles if I know there is a reference to a publication/journal for some of the gedcom profiles that have no source material, that's what I have done on some of them.  I think it is a good idea only a limited number are accredited for pre 1500 profiles, makes it easier to monitor.  I have looked at the Wikitree profile when doing my tree on My Heritage and have realised no source material is there for a lot of the gedcom ones for profiles pre and post 1500.  Regards.  Zoe
You've got that right about how many of the pre-1500 profiles are unsourced or only have ancestry.com as a source.  There is a huge amount of work to be done on them.  Back in the 'old days', Wikitree used to allow gedcom imports that included any profiles.  They no longer do that, but there's a lot of 'cleanup on aisle 9' for all of the profiles that were imported and forgotten...

This link lists the projects on Wikitree:

If you scroll through the projects you will see the Euroaristo & Magna Carta projects. Click those & you will find members that deal with those profiles.
