Betsey Hayes Lincoln widow married David Cook?

Betsey Hayes, born 16 November 1792, Chenango County, New York, married Job Lincoln in 1816. (Her sister Phebe married Job's brother Nathan Lincoln).  Job died 1826 in Chenango County, New York.  She remarried David Cook.  In familysearch's family tree, there is a Daniel Cook referenced as her husband.  There was a Daniel Cook who married a Waite Sheldon, sometimes listed as Mate Sheldon Cook or Betsey Cook, as I've found them referenced in more than one place. Has anyone researched this couple: Daniel Cook/Waite Betsey Sheldon?  I would like to be able to find source material to revert Betsey Hayes' second husband to the correct David Cook only, separate "my" Betsey from Waite Betsey.  I know the changes need to be made, but I am having trouble justifying the changes without having the information first.   Thank you, Jo

WHEW! Though i would have been honored to have my late father, David Cook, linked to Betsy Lincoln,  at least for a time, my conversations with my siblings could have been awkward!
