There is a family festival in Lindstrom Minnesota every July. I'm related but don't have genealogy, relationship to Oscar Lindstrom royal guard from Sweden.

I think this Daniel is not the correct Daniel as Wikipedia says Hassela Sweden not Lemland, Åland a distance of 500km

There is some discussion of the Daniel Lindström who settled Lindstrom in Minnesota at an open Ancestry board - some of it relevant, some less so.

I might also add that there are over 21 000 Lindström's in Sweden today. And that the mid-1800s was a time when so many farmer's sons, whose ancestors had lived within the patronymic system, adopted a surname when they moved away from their birthplace.

Daniel Lindström (1825-1896) buried in Chisago County, Minnesota is probably the one you are looking for.
