Hello G2G and all WikiTreer's
The Integrator's project would like to introduce you to two new G2G tags.
Integrators_Sources and Integrators_Resources
One of the primary functions of the Integrator Project is to move the wonderful information generated on G2G to WikiTree where is can help enrich and promote the growth of our tree. All too often, great information is shared on G2G but that information is not making it onto WikiTree.
Our goal with the Integrators_Sources tag will be to tag G2G questions and discussions where great source information has been provided. This will result in a pool of questions that can be searched and evaluated by volunteers for inclusion on the appropriate profiles on WikiTree. Those volunteers that love to attach sources to profiles can easily search the G2G posts with the Integrator_Sources tag and then take the time to update the profile in question, Thus improving our tree.
Ideally, the person asking the question would do this, however we have seen many great answers with great source information never used to update a profile.
Once a volunteer has updated a profile with the new information they can then update the question with a comment that the profile has been updated.
Our second tag, Integrators_Resources will work a bit differently. Many questions either provide or elicit responses with great resources for genealogists. By tagging these questions with the Integrator_Resources tag, anyone can peruse the pool of questions generated by this tag an learn of new genealogical resources to help them in their search. We will also have volunteers who will then compile that information onto a free space page for Genealogical Resources.
Jump right in and help improve the functionality of G2G by using these tags when you see a question with great source information or providing a great genealogical resource.
Thank you
The Integrator's Project.
