Most of the Columbia Detachment of the Royal Engineers which served in the Colony of British Columbia were in the District of New Westminster from 1863. Should we use Colony of British Columbia or District of New Westminster? I like both, though find no category for District of New Westminster.

Since the colony was established in 1858, I would use Colony of British Columbia.
