What to use as LNAB for the Bar-le-Duc family

In dealing with incorrect LNABs in the Coucy line, I came across the Bar-le-Duc line and noticed we have various LNABs for this family:  de_Bar, Bar, Bar_le_Duc.

We need to decide what to use so we can be consistent.  Input, please.

I think Bar-le-Duc is used by some authors, to distinguish them from the Counts of Bar-sur-Aube, which is a completely different family and geographical area.

I notice Charles Cawley mostly uses just Bar, for the Bar-le-Duc family but the full Bar-sur-Aube for the other family.

So.... Helmut and John -- do you think we should use just 'Bar' as the LNAB?
D. Richardson is using Bar in Royal Ancestry.

Thank you, Darlene, for working on the Coucy, and Bar lines.

The French name is Duchée de Bar but the question would be if any family should be named so. The first counts of Bar were from the Wigerich family (Charles Cawley also uses that designation), then after 1070 the house of Montbéliard, after 1419 Anjou, Vaudémont after 1477.

Wikipedia France gives "Scarpone" as family name for the house of Montbéliard and consequently the Bar (-le-Duc) line.

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maison_de_Scarpone

The name is used on some Wikitree profiles Scarpone-15 (Richwin), Scarpone-17 (Robert de Bar, de Marle) and Scarpone-16 (his daughter, Jeanne de Bar).

Wonder if it's really wise to use Scarpone rather than Bar as a Last Name At Birth? It's fairly unusual.
