Rowland Taylor is my direct ancestor, and so perhaps I may comment. I do not think he 'soared on Seraph wings to meet his God.' He was, first of all, in violation of his oath of celibacy as an ordained priest. He denied Christ's words instituting the Blessed Sacrament, and reduced that Bread of Life to an hors d'oeuvre, which I must apologize to God for every time I visit my church. Nor was his heresy stopped by his death. The protestant rebellion is all grown up now and has shed its revolutionary luster. What remains is the craven heart, what we might expect when the freedom of conscience, often an unreflected conscience, a badly formed conscience, is extended for every man to whichever action he chooses, whatever his merit or talent or wits.  What resulted is what we see all around us, including the protestant economy of capitalism which has finally reduced a comfortable and prosperous people to their knees, stripped us of the free healthcare and free education of merry medieval England, and put a price on everything, even love. I expect my ancestor Rowland Taylor is in hell for the hellish work he did on Earth which we his offspring suffer without relief.
