Is Mary Grovier, Marcy Grover?

+2 votes
Revolutionary War patriot John White's (White-28235) parents were John White (White-28238) and Mary Grovier (Grover-1316) of Norton MA. Every marriage record I can find has her listed as Mary Grovier. I can only find birth records of a Marcy Grover (b 22 Feb 1732 in Norton MA) daughter of Ephraim and Jemima (Newland) Grover Sr. This seems to be the same person but can't find any Mary/Marcy Grovier/Grover records. Need Help.

Keep in mind ,most people in this time period could not read ,write or spell.

Census taker would write there name as they heard them say it.That is

why it is such a challenge proving things.
