Do you know where he was born?
Sorry Brian,  I have just seen this.  It was Berkhampsted which by a curious twist of fate is the same location as the details that you sent me.  When I have further experience of genealogy I may find that he is linked to my family tree in some way also.

Thanks again.

I use Ancestry but Find my Past is also very good.

Thanks Wayne,

That's the one,  does it by chance show the details of his parents?

I am new to genealogy and finding my feet at the moment.

Much appreciated  Paul

Thanks Ron,

This is a different James Edward Timson.  Both born in the same year and in Berkhampstead but with a different date of birth.  The birth date I am looking for is 11th July 1902 so that I can trace his parents and siblings which is proving difficult.  Thanks for the comprehensive response and it may be that there are some other family links to the James Edward Timson you referred to.

Cheers

Paul
Between 1900 & 1905 there was only one birth for a James Edward Timson registered in Berkhampstead, Hertfordshire, that of

Births Sep 1902   (>99%)
Timson     James Edward          Berkhampstead     3a    832

I would recommend you purchase a copy of the birth certificate, which will confirm name of both parents.
