Looking for information on James Shaw, son of Jonathan and Melinda.

I am also looking for Information on a James Shaw.  I believe my James was born in Missouri about 1830 and lived in Van Zandt, Texas in 1850.Could this be the same James?  My James father was Jonathan Shaw b. Tennessee about 1804 Mothers name was Melinda.

      Can I just cry? So many years later and you are wondering if your relative came from Germany somewhere and it's ........................wait for it.................wait for it...........a spelling error. Not no how spel Missouri.
