I have just completed creating the County pages for the Arkansas Project of the US History and One Place Studies Projects. They need some Tender Loving Care to flesh them out, tell their history, their favorite sons and daughters, and their blacksheep, legends and tall tales and their warriors.
This took me a while because I have been near computerless. Laptops don't like to be dropped and mine hit the floor 4x. The last time broke a couple of thin wires and could not connect to the internet. In the meantime, I was going to the library where I could work 3 hours a day, but it was so busy with their summer activities, I ended up downloading census sheets to transcribe at home. I have the 1850 Union County AR near completed. My goal on the census transcription is not to correct the census takers misspellings, but to correct the indexers misspellings. The previous indexers did a bang up job!! I know how hard it is to transcribe. And I know that I probably made errors too.
There is the project page
http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Arkansas you can contact Allison for your badge. then Let me know if you want a county, or a sub project for a county like Civil War, WW1 or WW2, or Native American studies in Arkansas. The County Fairs or Magnolia, Watermelon, or Bradley Pink Tomato Days.
The US History Project brings most of the other projects under one umbrella.
Or if you just want to make profiles, I have the census to start with.
Arkansas State page I'm working on still
