Have you found links in a bio result in obsolete connections ?

For example the bio of Francis Andrews-926 has links to 10 children, some are not correct. The link for Rebecca in the bio goes to William Andrews-1045. Link for Thomas in the bio goes to Jedediah Andrews-202

I have left these links as they are because I wonder what other researchers think of this situation.

Now that wiki-tree is aging there are more devils in the details. In the bio section there are coded links rather than plain text information. After many editing and/or merging changes these links are obsolete and will likely confuse new people. I generally removed the links and simply leave plain text when I edit the bio.

I wonder whether those wrong links are not due to a lack of editing of copied and pasted text since merges generate redirects und should still end up getting you to the right profile.
Thomas's problem is that he should have been entered as Andrus-202 not Andrews-202.  That would still work, by redirection.

Thanks for asking this question! I just found a DNA match to one of my WikiTree cousins, via Andrews-926, Francis Andrews. This is exciting for me, despite my minimal knowledge of DNA research, since it appears to confirm some of the WikiTree family lines.

I found my cousin Coleman-1637, John Coleman, through running a "one-to-many" DNA comparison test at GEDmatch, and was delighted to see that he had done excellent genealogical tree work here at WikiTree, so I could confirm at WikiTree that John and I are 9th cousins, and both of us share the same great-great....-great grandfather, Francis Andrews. A one-to-one DNA comparison shows that John Coleman and I have a match on chromosome 18. My GEDmatch kit number is A787246 (Cynthia Larson). Since most of the rest of my genetic make-up is Swedish, Swiss, and Norwegian, and since John Coleman does not have any known Scandinavian ancestors, this looks very promising as possible confirmation of biological evidence for some of the children being correct for Francis Andrews--and hopefully, more such matches will follow and be documented, so we can learn more!
