I'm sorry if you have already thoroughly discussed this issue. At least I couldn't find anything with the search tool.

I am the co-manager of the Satakunta Farmers project, focusing on farmers in the historic region of Satakunta, Finland, mainly between 1500 and 1900. There is a lot of work to be done. I have jut started the work by preparing and splitting my files to be uploaded one by one, which has taken up quite a lot of time, since I want to confirm that everything I upload is as correct as possible. The last time I uploaded such a GEDCOM file was in May.

Today I finally finished preparing the next branch to be uploaded - actually a set of four GEDCOM files due to other upload restrictions on Wikitree - only to find out that all pre-1700 profiles are now automatically skipped in GEDCOM imports.

I'm sure you have good grounds for restricting GEDCOM uploads. At the same time pre-1700 Finland on Wikitree is close to vacuous. I hope you realise that blocking pre-1700 GEDCOM imports is likely to help keeping things that way.
