Hi Allen!

Here's our help page on free space pages: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Free-Space_Profile
by Eowyn Walker G2G Astronaut (2.4m points)

I have read the free space and wonder why it exists - why not put that "side story" (if that is what is meant)  in the profile of whomever it most pertains to and put links to others involved within that profile?  [[Smith-1|Joan Smith], etc.

Just curious.  Thanks for expanding on the concept.

We could probably broaden the explanation of free-space pages as they are used for so much more now than just for "side stories" of ancestors. They definitely have quite a variety of uses these day, one being people can now use them to start up projects. Peruse the free-space page directory sometime when you're curious and you can see all the creative ways members use them! :)

Thanks Eowyn!  I do tend to use the indices and categories when I NEED them, it seems I never catch up to the basic of gedcom cleanups, etc. to have time left over to learn so much extra that can be learned.  I will indeed check them out!   Thanks again, Barb
