Deleting medal pictures and template design

Question

Looks like Victoria Cross medal picture has problems. My understanding

1. First the picture was moved to a private profile ==> noone else can see the picture
    
2. Then the person who did that deleted the picture
    
3. The template used is Medal and then you add as an argument the template picture
    
4. If a new template picture is uploaded then you get a new medal picture name ==> all places the Victoria Cross medal template is used with the old picture needs to be update....

Question A: Should not this way of working with templates be changed?

Question B: Don't we need to protect pictures from being deleted or moved to private profiles?

​I add SYSOPS to this comment someone managing the code can tell us what to do.....

Current usage of the template is template name with image argument

I have found this problem with one of my profiles.. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Martin-Leake-5

I solved it by using another image of the VC I found on WikiTree. The required citation id this...

}}

Seems to work fine.

yes and that is the problem that you have to change all the profiles if one person makes the picture private.....

It's better if pictures used in templates can't be deleted or that the template is changed so the template contains the picture to use ==> then its just changing the template and it will work for everyone....
