Doesn't gedcom import disallow blank date fields?

This profile was created by a gedcom upload in late 2015. By then, didn't the gedcom upload/import disallow empty date fields? How did this profile get created without any date fields ? Thanks.

Human error. Until recently they had to be manually skipped so some surely slipped through.

Now they are skipped automatically.

Thanks, Eowyn. I didn't realize they were still manual as late as that.
Eowyn, this appears to be a manually created profile, but really recent and no dates:

Does manual profile creation allow saving a new profile without dates?
There's a way around it that we consider hacking the system. I sent a message to the PM.
Aiello-94 looks like what Wikitree creates when you add a sibling to a profile that doesn't have parents. Is that really considered "hacking the system"?
No, but using all zeroes for the date is.
So Wikitree is breaking its own rules when it automatically creates these blank profiles?
