I'm going to take a guess and say he would have been in a battle of Adams Mississippi,  had to been around Pendleton District at one time or contacts here, and had a child to care the line on cause I got a Robert M.Scott Great Great Grandfather from this line Old Pendleton District Oconee County, S.C,  I don't know what boat he came over on but most my People came from Charleston, S.C and Virginia area married in to the Young family it looks like to me. THANKS this is something I can look over, apparently that was a common name,
