Any Free Space size limits?

My sister's father-in-law was in WWII and kept a log from November 1943 until April 1945 ... not daily but fairly close ... he was a part of the 64th Fighter Wing.  His sons are working on pulling all those notes together, along with pictures and maps and all.  It's still a work in progress but, right now, it's at 54 pages in a PDF file.

So, what to do?  Is it appropriate to make a free space page and copy the PDF file there and then put a link on his profile page (it's 5+ Mb or so)?  The boys were thinking about a really limited printing to make books for the family.  Just looking at other options ... Thanks.

So, I messed around a bit ... wanted to see about working with PDF's and copying stuff to a FreeSpace page ... yikes ... there's lots of stuff that's not text ... can I put an image onto a FreeSpace page?  I need to go look at the FreeSpace instructions again!  This may be more work that it's worth.  And I thought I'd just copy the PDF onto the FreeSpace page ... lol

Ooo ... looks like I can treat a PDF as an image ... happy camper here!

Off the top of my head I believe pdf's uploaded to Wikitree are limited to 2mb - for a 54 page file there should be no reason a version of the pdf can't be made under that limit even if it is "lesser quality" than your original... down sampling images and removing any embedded fonts are easy with most pdf editors. There are some other tricks to reducing pdf size but the two given are usually fast and simple changes.

As to your other question, yes you can put images on freespace pages the same as you would add pictures to a profile.
